SERV CE STATION is a Rural American Design company. SERV CE STATION's showroom for furniture and sculpture is located on a rural corridor at the base of the Catskill Mountains in New York. Founded by Jonah Meyer and Tara De Lisio, in a1950's era garage, the small company produces furniture and sculpture designed and built in their Kingston, NY studio. Derived from 15 years as a studio artist the roots of the work are in Meyer's sculpture and illustrations, creating a distinct aesthetic coined as Rural American Design. SERV CE STATION's woodworkers understand the traditions of wood furniture and craftsmanship and the designs express an original, contemporary view of handmade, hand-finished furniture. SERV CE STATION uses select local wood culled from mills that participate in sustainable forestry programs and salvages lumber whenever something special comes along. In acknowledgement of all that is disposable, SERV CE STATION tips its hat to the "old days" when things were made to be handed down; with longevity in mind, their products will remain a part of a collection through time.
